Star Ingredients
At Whitfords, we use efficacious botanical ingredients that are gentle on sensitive skin. We prioritise sustainable ingredients that are organic, a waste by-product of other clean companies (such as strawberry seed oil), obtained via fermentation processes or are lab-grown (like micro-algae).
Triple Algae: Algae and micro-algae are a sustainable resource that’s not just revolutionising the production of biofuel and generation of energy but also have wonderful benefits for our skin! Microalgae addresses damaged skin and prevent further damage. Brown and red algae are rich in vitamins & minerals and soften, soothe and replenish lipids within our skin as well as prevent loss of moisture.
Bakuchiol: A powerful, plant-based, natural alternative to Retinol (Vitamin A). No burning, no stinging, no irritation and suitable for day use. Brilliant at helping with the appearance and depth of fine lines and wrinkles.
Liquorice Root: Antioxidant-rich and skin-soothing, to brighten an uneven skin tone. The extract we use has all the benefits for the skin without the characteristic aroma.
Zero Waste Strawberry Oil: The seeds from the fruit juice industry that would otherwise go to waste are collected, cold-pressed and the result is this light, fruity, aromatic oil full of antioxidants and essential fatty acids (Omega 6 & 9).
Salicylic acid from the bark of the White Willow tree: fermented with Lactobacillus Bulgaricus, this is a workhorse of an ingredient. A strong antioxidant that also has a soothing and antimicrobial effect on the skin, keeping breakouts at bay and also helping diminish the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Instructions
Gently massage a small amount onto face and neck on clean skin until fully absorbed or after any water-based creams/serums, morning and evening.

A minimalist formulation with no water use. The manufacturing process takes place without the use of heat. No added fragrance or essential oils, just the gentle scent of the botanical ingredients in the formula. Self-preserving.

100% Petroleum-free Skincare
Petroleum is not renewable, therefore not sustainable. This includes mineral oil, PEGs (polyethylene glycols), SLS/SLES (sodium lauryl sulfate / sodium laureth sulfate) and parabens. Thousands of plant-derived cosmetic ingredients exist, and there is absolutely no good reason to incorporate petroleum into our skincare routines.
Palm-Free
We use either alternatives to palm-oil or Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) certified derivatives that have not been farmed through deforestation. At present, all our products are palm-free, with the exception of our Fruit AHAs Exfoliating Mask which contains a very small percentage of a RSPO certified palm derivative.

I love this facial oil. I came across the brand at the Yoga Show last year and really enjoyed talking to the founder of the company about the ethos of her products.
