Star Ingredients

At Whitfords, we use efficacious botanical ingredients that are gentle on sensitive skin. We prioritise sustainable ingredients that are organic, a waste by-product of other clean companies (such as strawberry seed oil), obtained via fermentation processes or are lab-grown (like micro-algae).

White Willow Bark Extract: as the pores in our skin collect dirt and debris they become irritated; exfoliation clears away this unwanted pollution and dead cells. The bark of the beautiful White Willow tree provides us with a natural source of salicylic acid, known to encourage anti-microbial activity, cell renewal and antioxidant protection without the associated irritation that synthetic salicylic acid can cause.

Natural Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHAs): from Bilberry, Sugar Cane, Orange, Lemon, and Sugar Maple extracts, to gently exfoliate impurities and help minimise the appearance of wrinkles.

Instructions

Apply with dry fingers onto dry face and massage gently for a minute with your hands. Leave for four minutes then rinse thoroughly and pat dry gently with a clean towel. Do not introduce water in the jar and keep it tightly closed to avoid compromising the product’s self-preserving ability. Do not use beyond the BBE date (Best Before end of).

Please note: this product contains a very small percentage of RSPO-Certified palm oil. Read where we stand on palm oil.

Formula & Manufacturing Process

A minimalist, self-preserving formulation with negligible water use. We use an oil-thickener and emulsifier based on sugar chemistry to create a rich and stable gel without the use of petroleum-derived gelling agents or surfactants. The manufacturing process takes place with minimum use of heat.

Our packaging is 100% plastic-free. You won’t find a small plastic cap, insert, label, lid or dropper. When we say no plastic, we mean it. Our aluminium containers are reusable and endlessly recyclable.

Vegan Friendly & Cruelty-Free

All our botanical ingredients are vegan-friendly and we are proud to be approved as cruelty-free under the Leaping Bunny Programme, the best global cruelty-free assurance.

100% Petroleum-free Skincare

Petroleum is not renewable, therefore not sustainable. This includes mineral oil, PEGs (polyethylene glycols), SLS/SLES (sodium lauryl sulfate / sodium laureth sulfate) and parabens. Thousands of plant-derived cosmetic ingredients exist, and there is absolutely no good reason to incorporate petroleum into our skincare routines.

Palm-Free

We use either alternatives to palm-oil or Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) certified derivatives that have not been farmed through deforestation. At present, all our products are palm-free, with the exception of our Fruit AHAs Exfoliating Mask which contains a very small percentage of a RSPO certified palm derivative.
